SyntarEngine vs Runway: which fits a directorial workflow?

What a Production is

One complete script-to-finished-video run through all six stages. The six stages

Brief, Storyboard, Video, Edit, Finishing, Delivery. A human review gate sits at each, and the pipeline does not advance until the director clears it.

The sharpest gate is the one before video generation. Every governing keyframe is approved first, so a brand-critical problem is caught where a correction costs a keyframe rather than a render cycle. Validate before generate, not iterate after.

How the work is decomposed

Into setups, the way a crew schedules a shooting day.

One location, one lighting configuration, the actors and props that scene needs. Every shot in that group is completed before the production moves on. Each shot renders from its own approved keyframe, and the platform sequences the results back against the approved storyboard.

That is the part of the process that does not exist elsewhere, and it is what makes the gates meaningful rather than ceremonial. Approving a keyframe per shot only works if something decides where the shots begin and end.

What the director actually does

Directs, in production language.

Cora translates creative direction into the specific decisions a shot requires - focal length, blocking, lighting key, grade, coverage - and leads the Silicon Crew through execution between the gates. A single instruction can set several steps running at once, and the results come back as review cards to accept or adjust. Cora will also say when she thinks an instruction works against the brief, then commit to the director's call.

Where this fits

SyntarEngine produces finished video from a brief, for teams whose constraint is getting from a script to brand-consistent work at volume with the edit matching what was approved. What does SyntarEngine take as input?

What comes out at the end?

A delivered file. Finishing and Delivery are stages in the pipeline, so the output is finished rather than a set of clips to assemble. You can also take shots into your own editor if you prefer to finish elsewhere.

How is consistency maintained across a sequence?
